'The Bachelor' season 20 finale: Higgins asks permission from the winner's father

Star of “The Bachelor” season 20 Ben Higgins will be making his decision tonight between Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher, after admitting to both that he loves them in the episodes prior.

The episode tonight is expected to be packed with drama and tears, both of joy and sorrow, as Higgins is about to drop to his knee to ask one of the two remaining ladies to marry him. When the taping of the finale was done last November, an insider told Us Weekly that Higgins asked for the permission of her father before asking her to marry him.

Upon getting the blessing, Higgins “cried out and pumped his fist in the air,” claimed the source.

“Ben told her she’s the most beautiful woman and he wants to wake up next to her every morning,” while the winner reciprocated the feelings and admitted “I’m the luckiest girl!'”

Higgins reportedly gave the lucky lady a 3-carat emerald-cut diamond from jeweler Neil Lane, worth around $100,000. The former-bachelor has also expressed how he found true love, continued the same report.

The episode is expected to be filled with drama and awkwardness, as Higgins said “I love you” to both ladies when they were in the fantasy suite a few weeks ago.

According to the prediction of Reality Steve, a site that has a good track record of predicting winners in the past, Higgins will choose Bushnell to be his future wife. The report also revealed that Higgins and Bushnell are still engaged to date. No detail has been indicated about an actual wedding date yet.

As for the runner up, Higgins was reportedly sad and troubled when he sent home Fletcher, admitting that he really loved her as well.

“The Bachelor” season 20 airs the finale episodes entitled “Week 10” and “After the Final Rose” on Mar. 14 at 8 P.M. EST on ABC.
