With just a little over a month until the release of the third season of “The 100,” fans are already hyped up with the plot and storyline of the show.

The show is expected to have a trailer released anytime soon, but in the meantime, all that show creator Jason Rothenberg was able to tease was that the trailer would be “insane.”

He said on his Twitter account, “Oh my God, guys. The Season 3 trailer is INSANE!!! Just a bit more to do to it before l can share! #The100.” He also clarified that the show just needs some tweaking on its finishing, score, and VFX.

As for fans who are teasing and taking the word “soon” with sarcasm, he made it clear that he holds no control of the release date of the trailer. Nonetheless, as of his most recent Twitter post, he committed this Friday or next Monday at the latest.

In terms of possible storyline, Rothenberg revealed that there will be a romance angle in the upcoming season. He did not reveal who, but International Business Times UK speculates that it may pertain to Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley).

At the end of season 2, Clarke kissed Bellamy goodbye and said her hopes to meet again. Although Clarke and Bellamy has so far been on a non-romantic level of relationship, it is possible that they may take this on a different path in the upcoming season.

Aside from this, series writer Aaron Ginsburg revealed that fans will see the death of a major character in season 3. “Don’t know what’s worse: how much blood is all over set right now or that the blood belongs to a character you guys like,” he teased on his Twitter account, noted Venture Capital Post. He added that the death toll in season 3 will “not be a low number.”

With this, fans are already worried with the fate of Bellamy, Clarke, Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), and Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) in the upcoming season, as they are among the characters speculated to die. However, fans still have to wait once “The 100” season 3 returns on Jan. 21 to find out.
