'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' tournament will be held in arcades across N. America


Fans of the “Tekken” franchise have been waiting for a long time for the new sequel, but the fans who reside in North America will get a taste of the upcoming “Tekken 7.”

As mentioned in Cross Map, the developers behind the hit fighting game, Bandai Namco, has great news for the fans. In line with the plans of finally launching “Tekken 7” in North America, the company will hold a contest. The title of the contest will be “Tekken 7: The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016 – North America.”

The tournament has actually begun as stated by iTech Post. The first leg of the tournament started on Feb. 19 and it was held at Wizard World in Portland. It is said that the culmination of the tournament would take place at the Wizard World Comic Con and Gaming Tour in Pittsburg on Nov. 6. One of the next tournaments is already approaching as it would be from May 27-29 at Combo Breaker in Chicago.

According to reports, it will be held across 18 different locations in North America. It will be held in cities such as Philadelphia, Austin, Toronto and more.

Furthermore, the game director of the sequel, Katsuhiro Sarada has expressed his excitement for the upcoming event. He is also excited to witness what the players of the game can offer during the competition. With regards to the prize money, each winner of the tournament may receive a prize that would reach up to $3,000.00. Moreover, $20,000.00 is waiting for the person who would win the grand championship.

Fans are expecting that a new trailer for “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” will be shown during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Also, gamers are also hopeful that the developers would finally announce a release date for the upcoming game.
