A new teaser trailer for the expansion pack of the widely popular fighting game franchise “Tekken 7” titled “Fated Retribution,” shows an exciting enhancement to a well-used system players will enjoy.

Dubbed as “Rage Attack,” the video from Bandai Namco Entertainment featured some of the fan favorite characters doing combos of the titular move against their opponents that inflicted a lot of damage and could even be fatal.

According to Shack News, the clip followed the company’s discussion of their update last week in Japan where they first teased that they would be tweaking the Rage System for players to be able to build Rage faster, add knockback, have extra juggles, and have more chances of unleashing powerful attacks.

The report shared that they are similar to the standard specials of EX moves of “Street Fighter” and Enhanced moves of “Mortal Kombat,” only in a more amplified version. What makes Tekken’s iteration different is that the aforementioned attack can only be used while in the said Rage mode.

Some fans suggested that with the inclusion of the attack, they can serve as a turning point for the character in winning the battle since the idea behind the move seemed like they would get the characters riled up before inflicting greater damage.

Although the roster includes “Street Fighter’s” Akima, it is said that he will not be getting his own Rage attack but will have a Super Meter instead. Some characters that are deemed to have the system include Claudio, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Josie, Gigas, Kazumi, Kazuya, Heihachi, Lars, Asuka, Lili, Alisa, Xiaoyu, Feng Wei, Paul, Marshall Law, Steve Fox, Leo, Hwoarang, King, Dragunov, Bryan, Jin, Devil Jin, Yoshimitsu, and Jack-7.

The arcade version of “Tekken 7” has been rolling out in Japan for sometime now, but it remains to be seen when the console version will become available in the market.
