'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers: Creator Jeff Davis talks new villain, plot, ghosts for next season

“Teen Wolf” season 5 ended in a way that tied up a lot of loose ends, but this does not mean that the supernatural MTV series will no longer have anything new to offer when they come back for their next season. Despite the show just finishing last Tuesday, MTV is already hyping up fans for the next chapter as a teaser video was released right after “Apotheosis.”

The clip gave fans their first glimpse on the villain in season 6, and he comes in riding a horse. Creator Jeff Davis already previously confirmed that werewolf will not be the sole villain in the next season.

Elsewhere in the short clip, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) is seen leaving a hospital room which presumably has something to do with his love life. Davis also commented on the matter with fans pushing for a Stiles and Lydia (Holland Roden) angle by saying, “They’re not only lingering feelings they become a focus, a focal point of the next season. Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you’ll have to tune in to see.”

“I can absolutely confirm that the soldier has left the machine and will be a part of season 6, a threat,” Davis added in light of the lingering questions of who crawled out of the machine.

“It was something we were planning for a while, and we weren’t sure if we were going to use that final shot, but once we started shooting season 6, we figured we might as well use it.”

In a separate interview with Hollywood Life, the 40-year-old writer also revealed the overall theme coming into the next season.

In the interview he said that every season, “Teen Wolf” is always trying to bring in a different mythology in the overall story.

“If season 5B was a monster movie, which is what we went for, season 6 is a bit of a ghost story,” Davis teased.

Meanwhile, in terms of cast updates, Deadline reported that “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'” Pete Ploszek will be on board as a recurring character. He will play a new teacher named Mr. Garrett Douglas who will be draw the attention of a lot of students.

As of now, no specific date has been announced on when “Teen Wolf” season 6 will be back on air.
