Good news for “Teen Wolf” fans as ahead of the supposed panel of the MTV show in the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), a couple of hints and teases have dropped giving them an insight of what to expect for the show’s sixth season.
First out of the door is finally the confirmation that Dylan O’Brien’s Stiles will be back for the upcoming installment of the supernatural show. And if some fans are still skeptical about his appearance, creator Jeff Davis supplements that not only will he be there, he will also have a pivotal arc involving him all throughout season 6.
“Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season’s mystery revolves around him,” Davis told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re going to see just what Stiles’ friendship means to Scott [Tyler Posey], Lydia [Holland Roden], and Malia [Shelley Hennig]. We’re going to see why exactly he’s Scott’s best friend, what it means that he’s Malia’s human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won’t-they relationship is with Lydia.”
It can be remembered that before O’Brien’s “Maze Runner: The Death Cure” accident earlier this year, it was already hinted that Stydia will further be explored in the show’s forthcoming chapter. Unfortunately, the mishap which left the young actor with numerous injuries and the movie production suspended indefinitely caused some fans to question whether he will also have to sit out the sixth season of “Teen Wolf “or not.
Cast member Linden Ashby who plays who plays Sheriff Stilinski on the supernatural drama has previously shared that the new season will bring a lot of heart and emotion.
“This season, in a way, is much more complex but much simpler and it’s tons of heart,” the 56-year-old actor told Teen Wolf News. “It’s smart and it’s really good storytelling. I just get tickled that we’re still doing it.”
Now that O’Brien is confirmed, loyal followers are more pumped with SDCC’s “Teen Wolf” panel more than ever as there is a huge chance that the 24-year-old will also be in attendance. The panel for the show will take place in Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center this Thursday, July 21 at 4:30 p.m. PT. It will be hosted by Entertainment Weekly’s Samantha Highfill.
“Teen Wolf” has yet to have an official premiere date.
