Reports claim that Adam Lind and Jeremy Calvert may have to finish filming the second half of MTV’s hit reality “Teen Mom 2” season 7 despite apparently quitting the show.
An alleged source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, “Both guys signed on for Season 7, and wanted out while filming last season. Neither planned to do any more episodes after that, but MTV kind of pulled a fast one on them and simply extended the season.”
Instead of having season 8, the new installments are said to be for season 7B which means that there were no new contracts signed. The insider added that it seems “unavoidable” and they cannot get out of the project as they have already signed and will have to honor it. The same instance is deemed to have happened to the cast before.
While both men will be compensated for their time in front of the cameras, they are said to only receive partial payments because the season is not a full run. “Sort of like a ‘pro-rated’ version [of a salary]. When they renegotiate the contracts for Season 8, that’s when the pay will go up for the cast members who sign on,” the source explained.
Another source revealed that Calvert already wants to get away from the “craziness” the series brings. He also took to Instagram recently to share how he really feels about the franchise, in response to an article written by a fan site. He stated that he wished he had never been a part of the show as it has “completely ruined” his life.
He also confirmed that he is planning to get married to his now girlfriend Brooke Wehr, and denied that he was still in love with ex-wife Leah Messer. He defended that Wehr never made him post anything about her and she even gets upset if he does. He added that she is “far from insecure” of his former partner and mother of his daughter Adalynn.
