In the midseason finale of “Supernatural” season 11, Sam (Jared Padalecki) may visit Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) in hell to get help.
In th previous episode of the television series, Sam told his brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) that he sought the counsel of God on how to bring down The Darkness. He said that God has given him a vision to seek the aid of Lucifer. However, Dean did not like the idea as Sam may also be ensnared by the pitfall of darkness. Dean then suggested that they look for another option instead.
Nonetheless, Sam may still pursue Lucifer’s aid with the help of Crowley (Mark Sheppard), while Dean looks for other ways to defeat Amara (Emily Swallow). As the brothers race with time with their plans, the Darkness will once again attempt to unleash her powers in a town of innocent people. She will also steal an intimate kiss from Dean, as the latter tries to figure out his connection with Amara.
On the other hand, in the promotional teaser of the upcoming episode, Lucifer tells Sam toward the end, “I am your only hope.” The same clip also clads the words, “midseason finale” and then “will be uncaged,” with a possible hint that the uncaging will refer to Lucifer. Will this bring down The Darkness or cause an even greater havoc?
In an interview with TV Line, Padalecki revealed he did not expect that he will go to the place that he and his brother will go to until the show’s season finale. However, th actor said, “The brothers are very committed to fighting alongside each other, to getting rid of The Darkness and trying to figure out what it’s going to take and how to do it, going through all alleys and channels.”
He added that the upcoming episode, as well as episode 10, are his favorite scenes in the season, “I love the twists and turns none of which I can probably say without getting out of here alive.”
“Supernatural” season 11 midseason finale, titled “O Brother Where Art Thou?” will air on Dec. 9 at 9 P.M. EST on The CW.
