'Supernatural' season 11 news: Brothers keep an eye on Cas; Claire acts up

Sam and Dean will get their hands full in the upcoming episode of “Supernatural” season 11 as the brothers begin to notice something different about Castiel.

Unknown to the brothers, Cas’ strange behavior is due to the fact that he’s Lucifer’s new vessel. Sam will be the first to notice that something’s off about Cas, but it will be Dean who eventually steps up to keep an eye on his angel bestfriend.

In the trailer for episode 11 titled “Into the Mystic,” the brothers are shown discussing Cas, while another clip showed the angel easily eliminating an angel trying to kill him.

Based on the episode’s synopsis, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will investigate a case where people are suffering violent deaths after hearing a mysterious song.

It is unknown if Cas will have anything to do with the deaths.

Showrunner Jeremy Carver teased fans about what’s in store now that Lucifer is back in the picture.

“With Lucifer, we have a wonderful combination of a great character played by a great actor like Mark Pellegrino. You are always going to look for any possibility to bring him back. By introducing this element of Amara who is God’s sister rising again from where she was hidden, it begins to reopen the landscape for archangels in terms of who really has the power to stop her. Lucifer, in wanting to insert himself into this battle, makes perfect sense to us from a story standpoint,” he said in an interview with Spinoff.

For the following episode, the synopsis read, “Claire believes recent murders in town are supernatural and asks Sam and Dean to investigate. However, Sheriff Mills tells the guys that Claire has been getting into trouble lately and has been attacking normal people and accusing them of being monsters.”
