'Supernatural' season 11, episode 17: Brothers find themselves hounded by a pack of werewolves

The CW’s long running fantasy horror TV series “Supernatural” will be going back to basics next week when Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go head-to-head against a classic monster.

In the last couple of weeks, “Supernatural” season 11 have been doing weekly cases somewhat derailing Sam and Dean’s continued hunt for Castiel and Amara. In last week’s episode titled “Safe House,” the two got winded up on a case of a girl mysteriously falling into a coma. The brothers decided to check it out not knowing that there is more in the case’s history. It turned out that Bobby (Jim Beaver) and Rufus (Steven Williams) have also touched the case a few years ago.

In next episode dubbed as “Red Meat“, the brothers will then face werewolves, but in true “Supernatural” fashion, the upcoming installment will not see Sam and Dean getting the upper hand in the battle as they have no idea what they will be going up against. While fighting a pair of wolves who captured two victims, one hairy creature gets a good shot at Sam that left Dean with no choice but to retreat and get them to safety. Things get a little bit more complicated after they realize that the two wolves are part of a bigger pack and that they are trailing the brothers to ultimately put them down.

The Futon Critic released the official synopsis of the episode which reads, “Werewolf attack! – Sam and Dean battle a pair of werewolves who have captured two victims. Just as the brothers are about to win, one of the werewolves shoots Sam. Dean gets his brother and the victims out of the house but learns a pack of werewolves are hot on their tail, hoping to kill them all.”

“Supernatural” season 11 airs every Wednesday night, 9 P.M. EST.
