Less than a month before hit show “Suits” comes back for the remaining episodes of their fifth season, fans are starting to get more and more hyped up to find out the culprit behind Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) arrest.
Everyone was shocked when Harvey Specter’s (Gabriel Macht) protg was suddenly arrested by two officers after he was slapped with a “conspiracy to commit fraud” accusation. Everything was made more dramatic because it was the time when Mike officially decided to get a clean break and focus on his relationship with Rachel (Meghan Markle).
Leading to the thrilling arrest, Mike and Rachel came so close to being discovered as they were handling a case involving one of Mike’s former girlfriends, Claire (Troian Bellisario). Way back in season 5, a flashback of the two meeting when Claire was just an NYU law student and Mike had just been recently kicked out of school because of Trevor (Tom Lipinski) was shown. Mike tried to pull ofd a scam by saying that he is still a law student, but Claire’s boss eventually turned him down when he found out that Mike was going out with Claire.
As earlier reported, Patrick J. Adams revealed that he was glad that everything that Mike did was finally catching up on him, mirroring the sentiments of the creator of the show, Aaron Korsh.
Despite Claire keeping Mike’s secret with the help of Rachel’s pleading, she gave Mike a warning leading to a lot of people believing that she was the one who sold him out.
In new a new photo released by USA Network, Mike can be seen being escorted by the two agents who arrested him. Fortunately, fans can count on Harvey and the rest of the Pearson, Specter, Litt group to do all they can to get him out of there given how much is at stake for the firm if Mike is proven to be guilty.
As far as the guessing game is concerned, there is a high chance that once the perpetrator is out, the show will no longer put much spotlight on it. Instead, Korsh and his team will be trying to make everything sensible by justifying the reason the culprit turned in Mike. With Korsh ruling out the six main characters of the show in the pool of potential snitches, fans will continue to speculate until it is finally revealed in the second half of this season.
“Suits” will air “Blowback” on Jan. 27.
