“Star Wars: Episode VIII” supposed scene leaks reveal Skywalker twins’ fate.
Making Star Wars reported that one-half of the Skywalker twins, Luke (Mark Hamill) will be visiting a giant space casino, not to gamble but to look for someone. Unfortunately, the source of the website did not disclose any additional information on who the Master Jedi is looking for or whether he has anyon with him in his journey. It can be remembered that by the end of “Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens,” Luke was found by Rey (Daisy Ridley) in an isolated island. Presumably, the two will be embarking on a journey that includes Rey’s training to be a jedi.
While the male Skywalker journeys on what might be his comeback, his sister, General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) will supposedly be having a grimmer future ahead of her. As previously reported, the Resistance’s best pilot, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) is said to be having a clash with a new character played by Laura Dern. It is still unclear what Dern’s exact role will be but based on the leaks, she is purportedly going to be some sort of a captain/officer on the side of the Resistance. The two’s encounter will include Dern telling Poe that General Organa has been gravely injured and is currently receiving medical attention.
Collider speculated that just because Poe and Dern will be squaring off does not mean that Dern will be someone from the dark side. There is a possibility that the conflict will stem from their differences.
Completing the legacy characters is Han Solo’s (Harrison Ford) purported appearance in the upcoming movie. However, unlike the Skywalker twins, it might be a bit trickier to incorporate the smuggler back into “Episode VIII” given that he was killed by his own son, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
On top of that, a separate rumor has also been swirling around that a huge funeral, presumably for Han will also take place in the sequel. Given these, the only plausible ways for Han to play a role in the next film is either via a dream, a flashback, or a vision.
As of now, nothing has been confirmed yet by Disney and LucasFilm Ltd. It seems that they will keep the project under wraps as much as possible until “Star Wars: Episode VIII” hits theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
