Lucasfilm has finally unveiled the title of the highly-anticipated “Star Wars” installation. Along with it, the release date of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” was also disclosed. However, the plot remains a mystery.
As seen in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Rey (Daisy Ridley) embarked on a journey to find Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). On the planet Ahch-To, she met the Jedi and handed him his lightsaber. From that last scene, anyone can speculate that Luke will train Rey as a young padawan.
While waiting for the film’s first trailer, some speculations suggest that Rey won’t be able to finish her training as she needs to rush and rescue Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) from the hands of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
Meanwhile, a new theory has surfaced, which was taken from a source who allegedly checked out the filming of the movie in Ireland. According to the source, Kylo and the Knights of Ren will confront Rey and Luke in Ahch-To. Kylo, wearing his mask this time, fights against Rey once again, while the master Jedi fights against the knights.
In addition, it is said that there will be a cliffhanger featuring Rey. In that scene, Kylo will share important pieces of information with her. A recent report stated that Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) parents will be revealed in the eighth episode, so it is possible that Kylo knows who Rey’s parents are.
Furthermore, an article from Making Star Wars reported that Darth Vader will live in Kylo. A source stated that Kylo is wearing Darth Vader’s cape, except that it doesn’t have the same chain clasp. However, is it possible that Darth Vader will return and finish his fight with Luke?
As of writing, the “Star Wars” production team has not officially released the plot. Therefore, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will hit the big screen on Dec. 15.
