'Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition' to arrive with massive add-ons; VR expansion also in the works

“Star Wars Battlefront” from EA DICE has easily become a staple among “Star Wars” fans and gamers alike. After the release of the “Death Star” downloadable content (DLC) over a month ago, another game segment looms for the “Star Wars” action shooter in celebration of its first anniversary.

Simply titled “Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition,” the new expansion is set to arrive next month and alongside its release are the three previously released game segments as well as the forthcoming “Rogue One: Scarif” DLC pack making it a must-have this coming holiday season.

The “Ultimate Edition” content also includes over a dozen playable characters and game modes, not to mention a massive roster of game maps at every player’s disposal.

Moreover, the game maker just keeps on spreading early holiday cheers as they also announced on the game’s website the upcoming virtual reality title dubbed “Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-wing VR Mission” that is expected touchdown during the holidays. This means that it might come alongside the aforementioned “Rogue One: Scarif” that is slated to be rolled out on Dec. 16.

The “Scarif” DLC, will be, of course, set on the beach-laden planet of the same name that is also the battlefield of the upcoming “Star Wars” film, “Rogue One.”

As per the recent blog post, the new VR game will let players assume the role of an X-Wing pilot as they traverse space hunting down the Empire’s equally advanced flyers.

Meanwhile, Electronic Arts also assured fans that they will still continue to introduce special features and freebies to the game, one of which is a so-called 4X score game event scheduled to begin on Nov. 18 and will last until Nov. 20.

With that said, fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for upcoming events for “Star Wars Battlefront” as well as check the game’s website for future updates.
