With the hype of “Star Wars” still present, there is a lot of anticipation regarding the newest video games for the franchise. “Star Wars Battlefront” has an upcoming mission that will utilize Virtual Reality (VR)
“Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission” will be a new mission that will surely make all fans of “Star Wars” excited. Criterion Games and EA DICE, the developers for this new mission, will give players a chance to pilot the X-Wing fighter while using the PlayStation VR headset.
Game producer James Svensson has detailed what players can expect with this immersive new experience. “Once you look outside your ship, you’ll start to take in and appreciate the sheer magnitude of the environment in which you’re sitting,” he said.
Apart from the VR mission, EA is also said to be developing a sequel to the next installment for “Star Wars Battlefront.” This isn’t surprising given that the current installment has been well-received by fans and it has sold more than 14 million copies. The upcoming installment is said to host a lot of interesting new additions belonging to the “Star Wars” universe.
“We’re building on the foundation of the first game. We’re listening to our players and adding more of what you want including content from the new films,” said Jade Raymond, vice president and general manager of EA’s Motive Studios and Visceral Games.
While fans wait for the next installment, players will be able to enjoy “Star Wars Battlefront” with the Bespin downloadable content (DLC) to be released to be released later this month and the Death Star which launches early next year.
In addition, EA has also released a mobile strategy game titled “Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.” Players also have the chance to play with other players in a massive multiplayer online game titled “Star Wars: The Old Republic.”
The “Star Wars Battlefront” sequel has yet to gain a release date.
