'Star Wars: Battlefront' DLC update: First look at Bespin

After the release of the fist paid content for “Star Wars: Battlefront” a few weeks back, EA and DICE are now preparing for the second DLC, which is expected to come in June.

Referred to as “Bespin,” the developers have dropped a hint about the features of the second DLC. The upcoming expansion is expected to take place in Cloud City. Similar to “Outer Rim,” “Bespin” will be introducing two new characters, this time Lando Calrissian, the owner of Cloud City, and Dengar, one of the bounty hunters who stood beside Bobba Fett in the films when Han Solo was handed over to Darth Vader. However, it is still uncertain what specific powers will these characters bring in to the game.

Aside from these, the second DLC is also expected to introduce four new maps, as well as new weapons, a new game mode, and Star Cards. “Bespin” is expected to be unveiled in June.

Meanwhile, “Star Wars: Battlefront” is also expected to bring in two more DLCs, one is called “Death Star,” expected later this year, and a still unnamed DLC, most likely early next year. Alongside the paid contents, the game also occasionally throws in freebies and smaller activities in the game that will help players earn additional Star Cards such as double XP weekends, community missions, and the new Hutt Contracts.

It seems that EA and DICE are doing their best to keep their players and fans interested in the game through the several activities and plans they have in mind. For instance, they are reportedly brewing some surprises for players who play the offline mode. Similarly, there are activities in store for the Star Wars Day on May 4.

“Star Wars: Battlefront” was released last November and is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 consoles.
