Gamers who love the “Star Ocean” game franchise by game developer Square Enix do not have to wait much longer for the release of “Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness.” On the official website of the video game, it said that the launch will be on February 25, 2016.

Playable on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, the characters that can be used in-game are Fiore, Miki, Fidel, and Victor. What’s more, according to Geek Snack, there will be a new Roles system that will let gamers choose up to four roles per character played. The roles will affect the combat styles of each character, so varying the roles will offer various possibilities.

Meanwhile, as reported by RPG Fan, those who will pre-order the first edition copies of “Star Ocean 5” will be able to unlock a bevy of features. Some of the retailer exclusive unlockables are the Valkyrie Ring that boosts players’ stats from Amazon.co.jp, Star Bracelet from Yodobashi Camera, PC wallpaper from Joshin, and Golden Bunny Statue from the Square Enix online store.

Before the game’s release, Square Enix announced that a live stream of “Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness” will be available on YouTube and Niconico on November 12, 2015. Gaming website Gematsu added that the live stream event to be hosted by the developer will showcase the “Ultimate Box” edition of the video game, exclusive bonuses, and details of in-game campaigns, and gameplay updates.

In a separate report by Gematsu, they reported that an online comic dedicated to the game has been launched as well. The first, second, and third chapters are already uploaded, but they are in Japanese.

Although the release date for Japan has been announced, no specific date has been revealed for North America. However, it is expected to be out sometime in 2016 as well.
