Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact now available for pre-order for Hong Kong, Singapore

The new Sony Xperia Z5, the main device of the Z5 line of flagship smartphones form Sony, is now available for pre-order for Hong Kong and Singapore.

As reported by the Xperia Blog, the Xperia Z5, Z5, Dual, and the Z5 Compact are all available for pre-order. The Hong Kong Sony store sells the Xperia Z5 and the Z5 Dual for HK$5,698, while the smaller Z5 Compact is available for HK$4,798. The pre-order lasts until October 5, and units will start shipping on October 7.

As for Singapore users, only the Xperia Z5 is available for pre-order until October 11. The device comes priced at SGD 998. This pre-order offer includes a free DK52 microUSB charging dock, and a chance to buy a discounted MDR-NC750 earphones.

The Sony Xperia Z5 sports a 5.2-inch wide screen with 1080p Full HD resolution, with IP68 certification for water and dust proofing protection. It runs under an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, with Adreno 430 GPU. It packs 4GB worth of RAM, along with 32GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity, with support for external microSD expansion of up to 200GB worth.

As for the camera, the device has a 23 megapixels rear camera that can record videos of up to 4K resolution. It also comes with a 5 megapixels front camera for seflies and video calling, which can record videos of up to 1080p Full HD resolution. The device is powered by a 2900 mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact sports a 4.6-inch wide display, equipped with scratch-resistant glass and oleophobic coating, with Triluminos display and Sony’s very own X-Reality Picture Engine. It runs under an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, with Adreno 430 GPU. It has 32GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity, with support for external microSD expansion of up to 200GB worth.

As for the camera, the device has a 23 megapixels rear camera that can record videos of up to 2160p at 30 fps rate. It also comes with a 5 megapixels front camera for seflies and video calling, which can record videos of up to 1080p Full HD resolution.
