Fresh from the launch of its new Xperia Z5 line, Sony is once more hot in the rumor mill as the company, according to rumors, is preparing a Premium Edition for the Xperia Z5 Compact, and will be sold exclusively to the Japanese market.
According to a report by Android Authority, rumors point out that Sony is working on yet another member of its new Xperia Z5 linethe Xperia Z5 Compact Premium. The rumored Xperia Z5 Compact Premium will be sold exclusively to the Japanese market, apparently through Japanese mobile carrier NTT DoCoMo.
The Xperia Z5 Compact Premium is said to come in a brightly colored Hatsune Miku Edition. The device will feature a better resolution of 1080p Full HD on the same 4.6 inches wide display, compared to the Compact version that has only 720p resolution. The RAM and the battery life will also see some upgrades, as the rumored device will sport 4GB worth of RAMcompared to the 2GB of the Compactand a battery capacity of 2900 mAh. Aside from that, the device specifications will remain the same as that of the Xperia Z5 Compact.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact sports a 4.6-inch wide display, equipped with scratch-resistant glass and oleophobic coating, with Triluminos display and Sony’s very own X-Reality Picture Engine. It runs under an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, with Adreno 430 GPU. It has 32GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity, with support for external microSD expansion of up to 200GB worth.
As for the camera, the device has a 23 megapixels rear camera that can record videos of up to 2160p at 30 fps rate. It also comes with a 5 megapixels front camera for seflies and video calling, which can record videos of up to 1080p Full HD resolution.
