Sony has launched its all new Xperia M4 Aqua in the U.K. and in India, the first 64-bit octa-core processor phone, priced at $390.
According to Christian Today, the phone was launched in the U.K. through the Carphone Warehouse with 5,000 texts, 150 minutes, and 250 MB of 4G data with this option. The phone happens to be Sony’s first ever 64-bit octa-core processor phone.
The report also says that the phone is available only in black color and comes along with a two year tie-up, as per the contract.
In the U.K., Sony has made another promo tie-up with Vodafone, which enables buyers to go for a high data plan at 42 euro that gives users unlimited minutes, text and 20 GB of data. While, yet another promo comes with a with a 24-month contract that costs 15.50 euro per month.
For other colors of the phone, the users of U.K. will have to wait until June.
According to IB Times, the phone was unveiled in New Delhi, India on May 26 by Sony India’s Product Marketing Head Mukesh Srivatsava. The phone has a 5-inch 720p display, powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and has 2 GB RAM with an 8 GB of expandable storage. The phone has a long battery life with 2400 mAh battery.
Coming to the other specifications of the phone, it has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel on the front. The device will be running on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system.
The phone is available in black, white and other coral flavours in India and the U.K.
According to other reports, the phone also comes with an IP 68 certification that does not have any flaps damaging the usability of the micro USB port.
