Sony Xperia C4 release date, specs: handset lands in US via Best Buy


The Sony Xperia C4 is now available for purchase in the US region, following the smartphone’s initial availability for Europe, Middle East, and in Asian regions last June.

The Sony Xperia C4 is now available for purchase online via local retailer Best Buy. The retailer sells the Xperia C4 for a price of $274.99.

The Sony Xperia C4 smartphone sports a 5.5-inch wide IPS LCD scratch resistant display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology, and a 1080p Full HD resolution. It runs under a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6752 chispet, with a 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and a Mali-T760MP2 GPU. It packs 2 GB worth of RAM, along with a 16 GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity. The device supports external microSD expansion of up to 128 GB worth.

The Sony Xperia C4 boasts of its camera features. Dubbed as the “world’s best selfies smartphone”. Take PROselfies with the device’s 5 megapixels front camera with an Exmor R lens, equipped with an LED flash and wide-angle lens, for a wider ranger of selfies and groufies, as well as selfies videos. The camera is also optimized to automatically adjust to current environment settings, along with the handy LED flash feature, there will be no more dark and dim selfieseven at night time conditions.

The 5 megapixels front selfies camera can also be maximized with the built-in selfies apps for enhancing photos, applying effects, and retouching.

The main rear camera, meanwhile, is 13 megapixels, with an Exmor RS lens, and video recording capabilities of up to 1080p Full HD resolution.

The loudspeaker of the device also comes with optimized performance, all thanks to the ClearAudio+ and xLOUD technologies built-in.

The Sony Xperia C4 smartphone boots on Android Lollipop 5.0, and is powered by a 2600 mAh battery. The device is available in black and white colors.
