“Sister Wives” star Meri Brown’s catfishing scandal last year still haunts her as it poses a possible threat in her relationship with husband Kody Brown. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Kody, the husband in the polygamous marriage between the Brown women, is looking for a new wife, bringing the number of women “spiritually married” to him to five.
Last year, “Sister Wives” star Meri Brown got into a catfishing scandal, where she had an affair with person she met online named Sam Cooper. As it turned out, the name and identity of the person were fake, as the real person behind Sam Cooper was con-artist Jackie Overton. Overton was arrested for the catfishing activity.
Now, a year later, Brown opened up and shared more details about the real story behind how the catfishing happened.
“It sounded like a guy with a southern accent,” she said in an exclusive clip, via People. “We laughed a lot. It was easy to connect with him, just because there was so much in common. He was very, very flirty with me. And I have guy friends and I am a little bit flirty, too.”
As things escalated between them, Brown and Sam Copper had more than once arranged to meet each other, but Cooper never showed up. Later on, a certain friend of Cooper named “Lindsay” met with Brown and that was when the actress was threatened.
“She basically told me, ‘Don’t ever screw with us. Don’t mess with him. Don’t hurt him. I will ruin your life. And I will ruin your family,'” she shared.
In other news, rumor has it that Kody Brown is in the search of yet another wife. A report claims that a source revealed that Kody is searching for a young and thin wife in order to get more money out of the show and for the show to be renewed by TLC.
