Things are not going too well for the Brown family, at least for Kody and Meri, as their partnership continues to get rocky in brand new “Sister Wives” this week.
What was supposed to be a fun-filled vacation in Hawaii turned haywire as almost everyone started bickering with each other. But while the causes of the chaos amongst family members were rooted in differences in opinion, Meri and Kody’s were much more serious. At one point, the Brown patriarch decided to ask for time alone with his first wife.
During their private conversation, Kody opened up the subject of Meri’s recent cheating incident as part of gauging how their relationship will be moving forward. It can be remembered that last season, it was revealed that Meri met someone online whom she constantly kept in touch with. Things escalated very quickly until she was already emotionally invested in her chat partner. Unfortunately, it turned out to be that she was being catfished. Despite the season-long effort to get things back to normal after what happened, Kody suddenly dropped the bomb saying that the most they can do now is act civil in front of everyone.
Because of this, rumors of Kody already looking for a fifth wife has once again gotten attention. Life & Style magazine (via Radar Online) reports that the reality TV star has his eyes set on current wife Robyn’s step-niece, Mindy Jessop. This allegedly caused a major uproar from all 4 wives which led them to all leave the Kody.
Aside from his disintegrating relationship with Meri, Kody’s search for another partner is claimed to be because of the steady drop in ratings for “Sister Wives.” A fresh addition to the series, he thought would be a great tool to draw interest from viewers once again. Before season 7 was officially announced and soon after, rumor has it that TLC will no longer order another serving of the family show.
During the family’s trip to sunny Hawaii, they were met with questioning glares from other people who were still uncomfortable with the Browns’ polygamous lifestyle. Kody, however, was clueless as to why up until now they still elicit such response especially when “Sister Wives” has already been airing for seven seasons.
“Sister Wives” season 7 airs every Sunday night, 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
