The second season of “Sense8” is rumored to be released later, from June to August, reported Inquisitr. This rumored delay is being linked to the high cost of producing the series. As with the previous season, the scenes were shot in nine different cities and eight various countries.
“The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” actress and former model, Tina Desai, playing the role of Kala Dandekar, confirmed through her Twitter account on Feb. 25 that she has started shooting for the new season. Her tweet said, “And the world tour begins!!! To Berlin!!! #Sense8 #season2.”
Aml Ameen, playing the role of Capheus, also confirmed through his Twitter account on Feb. 26 that he was already shooting in Berlin, Germany when he tweeted, “Lovin the Crew #ALL8 #TheCluster #sense8season2.”
During an interview with the International Business Times, India, Desai was asked to share anything about the new season. However, the actress’ lips were sealed and explained, “I won’t share because the fun is in not knowing.” Although she gave a little teaser with regards to her character’s relationship with Wolfie, when she added, “I can just say things have gotten even more intense and action-packed, and the relationship between Kala and Wolfie is more stressful and electric than ever.” Wolfie is short for “Wolfgang Rogdanow” who is being played by Max Riemelt.
In the said interview, the actress mentioned that she has only seen the script up to the seventh episode, so she is not familiar with the whole events that will transpire in this new season.
J. Michael Straczynski is the series creator of “Sense8.” He denied the rumors assuming that production has begun in December. He mentioned on his Twitter account on Dec. 17, “It’s a separate shoot to grab footage during the holiday, not the start of full-on main unit shooting.” The creator was referring to Aml Ameen’s previous tweet in December, “We begin Season 2 in 10 days.”
The previous series was recently nominated for “Saturn Award for Best New Media TV Series” according to the creator’s tweet on Feb. 24.
