'Sense8' season 2 air date, spoilers, news: leaked script features new character

American science fiction drama web television series, “Sense8” gained a surprising increase in popularity in the final episodes of its first season and now fans of the Netflix show can’t wait for season 2 to start airing. And while there were some talks earlier that a second season wasn’t in the cards, the latest report about a leaked script would certainly contradict the claims and rumors of cancellation.

A Reddit user posted the leaked script, which allegedly suggests the entry of a character that didn’t appear in the first season. According to 11 pages of the script, the character goes by the name of “The Assistant.” However, there are no other details as to what the character has to do with the main cast; there even is no added information about the storyline or plot of season 2 of “Sense8.”

Nonetheless, GameNGuide thinks that fans have no reason to worry since the second season trailer could be coming anytime soon. The basis of such speculation is Jamie Clayton’s tweet last September revealing that filming for season 2 has wrapped up. Clayton plays the role of Nomi Marks in “Sense8,” a blogger turned hacktivist who lives in San Francisco with Amanita (Freema Agyeman), her girlfriend. She was originally born a man, named by her parents as Michael, but eventually went on to become a woman.

Another good reason to believe that the first trailer is on the way is the fact that the show has been on hiatus for more than a year now and that the second season could be considered as way past its due. Netflix isn’t saying anything about the unusually longer time it is taking them to release information about the new season, but it’s difficult to imagine that the series is canceled considering that a couple of cast members have already confirmed filming for season 2.
