After releasing two music videos, pop singer Selena Gomez is busy doing her promotional tour for her upcoming album “Revival” which comes out on October 9.
Currently on her European leg, Gomez has been photographed looking sensational as she strutted around London wearing a flowy and sheer white dress.
She also appeared on “Alan Carr: Chatty Man” talk show where she performed her new single, “Good For You,” and talked about her record, “It’s a pop album but it’s a very emotional, real…it’s real. I worked on this album for over a year and there was so much nonsense happening publicly,” E! Online shares.
Meanwhile, previously talking in the radio segment “The Cruz Show” on Power 106, she recounted her journey in working on the project from signing on with a new label to having new teams of producers, “I recorded the best songs of my career in the studio. It was such a time for me to explore who I am. That was really important. I think that’s why we called it Revival.”
She added that it almost felt like “therapy” for her as she has been criticized by the public for the past two years and was at the receiving end of a lot of body shaming.
Posing naked for the cover, she also mentioned that she was surprised by the backlash for the photo but said that the issue will not matter once the fans have heard the entire discography.
“I’m not going to let them get to me. I can do what I want. I’m not doing that all the time. It’s beautiful. It represents that it’s bare. I don’t want diamonds and things all over me for the cover, and really thick makeup. I wanted it natural,” Gomez continued.
The former Disney star also commented on the comeback of her former on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber and the positive reviews his new song, “What Do You Mean” has been garnering. “This is what I always saw in him,” she said.
