When series co-creator Ryan Murphy hinted that a pop star is likely to join the cast of “Scream Queens” season 2, a number of viewers began to speculate that singer-actor Nick Jonas is one of the returning cast members. Jonas fuelled speculations even more when a video of one of his interviews appeared online.
In his interview on The Wrap, when asked about the possibility of him appearing in the second season of “Scream Queens,” he said, “I don’t know, I think I’m dead for real this time so I don’t know if I’m coming back … we’ll see what happens, but you know, Ryan Murphy is always full of surprises so maybe I’ll end up on the show.”
In the first season of the series, Jonas’ character Boone appeared to have been killed during the early episodes but not long after, it was revealed that he faked his death. It was also revealed later on that Boone was one of the two killers dressed as the red devil. While it appeared that he was stabbed to death for real by his own sister, no scene was shown confirming a lifeless body.
Murphy has announced on several occasions that four or five of the original cast members will return.
Emma Roberts’ character Chanel was seen waking up to a threat when the season ended. On Jan. 16, the actress posted on Instagram, “Surprise … Bet you thought you’d seen the last of her…” which confirms her return on the show.
“Glee” star Lea Michele, who plays Boone’s twin Hester and the surviving killer, will also be back to reprise her role and has taken to social media as well. She tweeted, “OMG I couldn’t be happier right now! @ScreamQueens Season 2! This is the best news ever! We’re back!”
Actress and author Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Dean Munsch, hinted at her return with a tweet, and so has Chanel #5 actress Abigail Breslin, who posted an image of the upcoming season on her Instagram account.
With Michele back on the show and rumors of Jonas coming back, “Scream Queens” season 2 could be a reunion of the two red devils.
