Samsung Galaxy View news: Device available via AT&T from Nov. 20 priced just $99


The new Samsung Galaxy View, the massive 18.4-inch tablet, will be available in the U.S. via mobile carrier AT&T starting Nov. 20 according to a press release.

The Samsung Galaxy View will be available for purchase via local retail stores nationwide or via online purchase over AT&T’s website. As a limited offer, customers signing up for a new DIRECTV plan can avail of the new Samsung Galaxy View for an additional $99.99, in a 24-month lock-in period requirement. Existing DIRECTV subscribers can also avail of the value promo if they open a new smartphone line via the AT&T Next service, with a 24-month lock-in period.

“The Samsung Galaxy View is the best parts of a TV and tablet, designed with entertainment as its primary focus,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Device Marketing and Developer Services, AT&T Mobility. “We know our customers are watching video in ways they never used to, and with this tablet you can shift where and when content is consumed. No other Samsung device provides this combination of integrated entertainment experience and value.”

Available for $0 down payment for customers who will qualify, the tablet can also be purchased via the AT&T Tablet Installment Plan for $30 a month for 20 months or for $499.99 with a 24-month lock-in period.

Customers who will avail of a new Mobile Share Value Planor even those who have an existing Plan opencan add the Samsung Galaxy View to their devices for an additional value of only $10 access charge per month.

In terms of specs, the new Samsung device features a huge 18.4-inch display with 1080p Full HD resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7580 chipset with a 1.6GHz CPU and coupled with 2 GB RAM. The AT&T version of the device features 64 GB of built-in internal storage capacity that can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 128 GB.

Powered by a high capacity 11.3v Li-Ion 5,700 mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy View can be used for up to eight hours.
