Not to be left behind on the tablet scene, Samsung announced that it will launch the Tab S3 9.7 this week.

The official unveiling of their latest large screen tablet will take place in India on June 20. GSM Arena reported that the Korean tech giant sent out invites for the event taking place from 12 p.m. onwards in Bangalore. The venue, however, was blurred out on the invite shared by the GSM Arena report.

The Galaxy Tab S3 still comes with a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display, but this time, with a 2048×1536 resolution. Its predecessor sported a 1536 x 2048 resolution. It is also powered by a brand new chipset — the Snapdragon 820 processor — and comes with 4 GB of RAM. This is a Gigabyte larger compared to the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7.

It also offers 32 GB of expandable storage, which comes in handy for users who love to take pictures and store different types of files. Furthermore, it also comes with its own Samsung S Pen, as well as stereo speakers and a 6000mAh battery. The battery has a bigger capacity that its predecessor’s that sported 5870mAh.

Meanwhile, the device’s pricing and availability will all be announced during this week’s launch. In addition, a report from Deccan Chronicle noted that the tablet also features Samsung Flow. This allows users who are always on the go to sync their message notifications and transfer documents from their smartphones to the table with ease.

Additionally, it uses biometric authentication for logging in and allows users to tether their Tab S3 9.7 to other devices.

Similar to their strategy for the Galaxy S8’s launching, Samsung’s invite for the Galaxy Tab S3 also showcased a silhouette of the tablet. The invite showed the device’s upper part with the words “WORK. PLAY. MY. WAY” flashed on top.  Samsung’s marketing approach apparently remains consistent with the way they launched their flagship smartphone three months ago.
