With the growing competition in the tablet market, two brands are always at the forefront of consumer preference.
Two of the most popular models in the market today are the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S and Apple’s iPad Air 2. For those who are considering buying either of these devices, here’s a breakdown of their specsd and how they compare against each other.
As for the processor, the Galaxy Tab Pro S, uses a dual core Intel Core M processor and 4GB of RAM which enables the tablet to perform laptop tasks. Apple, on the other hand, uses the A8X Chip with 64-bit Architecture and M8 Motion co-processor.
In terms of power, Apple can support up to 10 hours of battery life, while Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Pro has the slighter edge by offering up to 10.5 hours of power.
Both of Samsung’s front and rear cameras are at 5 megapixels, but Apple’s iPad Air 2 has an 8-megapixel iSight camera and a Facetime HD camera.
The Galaxy Tab Pro S runs on Windows 10, so users get access to all the features and functionalities of a Windows 10 Operating System as long as they are compatible to the device. Meanwhile, the Apple iPad Air 2 runs on Apple’s iOS 8.
In terms of storage, the Galaxy Tab Pro S features variants that offer either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, while the iPad Air 2 offers variants of 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
In terms of pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S has yet to release information, while Apple’s iPad Air 2 costs $409.99, $459.99, and $549.99 for its three variants.
