According to a report from Sam Mobile, sources coming from Samsung homeland South Korea have claimed that the long rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship will be coming in January of next year, with a possible exact release date of January 19.

This release will be considered an early release, considering that the current flagship Galaxy S6 series was released only last March, making the gap between two flagships less than a year apart.

Additionally, the new Galaxy S7 may also be coming with two variantsa “premium” and a “sub-premium” version. The device is expected to come with three different variants, too, each according to the chipset running it. Indian users can expect the Exynos 7422 on the device. For the company’s home Korean market, as well as European and Japanese markets, the new Exyno 8890or also known as the Exynos M1will power the device. The Chinese and the North American markets will be having the new Snapdragon 820 chipset.

Previous rumors pointed to the presence of the USB Type-C for Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone. Rumor also had it that leading interface company Synaptics is currently in partnership with Samsung to incorporate the ClearForce pressure-sensitive display technology on the Galaxy S7 smartphone.

Similar to the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus 3D touch, and the Huawei Mate S Force Touch technology, the new ClearForce allows more custom commands according to user’s swipe, touch, press, hard press, and similar touch actions.
