People who pre-ordered the new Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge have been promised freebies coming with their new device. Most of the time, the free item is a Samsung Gear VR with six free compatible games. Now, the official Samsung website lets users claim their earned freebie from the retailer where they pre-ordered.
Samsung Promotions recently opened the claiming of freebies that came with every pre-order of either the new Samsung Galaxy S7 or the dual curved Galaxy S7 edge. After going to the site, users must choose the accredited retailer where they got their pre-order from. Some users who pre-ordered the devices will be able to get their freebie without any further process right to their doorsteps, while others would have to go a through verification process in order for them to be eligible to claim.
Users who have placed their pre-order at Best Buy, Costco, Sprint, and Target would be able to get their free bundle of Samsung Gear VR plus the six games without any further verification. On the other hand, those who have pre-ordered their devices from AT&T, Metro PCS, Sam’s Club, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Walmart, and Verizon’s Retail need to follow the process via the Samsung Promotions before they will be able to claim their free bundle.
Additionally, there are some retailers who offer additional options for the pre-order bonus. T-Mobile, for one, will be giving away an additional one year worth of free Netflix subscription along with the Gear VR and games bundle. Verizon, on the other hand, will give its users the option to choose either the Gear VR and games bundle or the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, which is worth around $300 in retail.
The Samsung Gear VR is valued at $99, while the free set of six games is worth approximately $50.
