Samsung Galaxy S7 news: 3,600 mAh battery, waterproofing features seemingly confirmed


Now that the much awaited and long rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship series is getting closer and closer to its launch date, rumors and leaks are becoming more frequent. This time, information about the battery capacity of the device as well as its alleged waterproofing features were leaked through logistics documents.

The battery capacity of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7the standard variant of the devicewill come with significantly more juice than the Galaxy S6. Where the Galaxy S6 had a mere 3,000 mAh inside it, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have more at 3,600 mAh. This was revealed by new certification documents pertaining to the device found over at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission or the FCC, where the FCC ID was shown in the About Device and Battery Info section of the smartphone.

In other news, it was allegedly confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 as well as its bigger and dual curved variant will be having some form of waterproofing technology. The new feature had long been rumored for the duo of flagships in the past, but it is only now that information seemingly confirming the rumor surfaced.

In a group of listing of parts for the device that were imported to Indiafound on the country’s import and export database Zaubasome parts of the SM-G930F had the “waterproof” label. As per the listings, several “waterproof” parts that arrived in India include a waterproof microphone and a waterproof SIM card tray.

The Samsung Galaxy S76 flagship series will be launched on Feb. 21 in Barcelona, Spain, a day before the upcoming Mobile World Congress kicks off in the same city.
