Long before its release, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was rumored to be coming with a massive 41200mAh battery. However, when it was unveiled earlier this month, the Galaxy Note 5 came with a much lower battery capacity of 3000mAh.

Now, as reported by Phone Arena, rumors have been pointing to Samsung working on a new variant of their new phablet flagshipthe Galaxy note 5 active. The “active” series of Galaxy smartphones feature a variant of the smartphone model, but with more battery life than the ordinary version, and is built to be tougher on elements, and mostly shock proof and weatherproof, too.

The rumored Galaxy Note 5 active is reportedly coming exclusively through AT&T this November, with a specific rumored release date of November 8.

All other hardware and software specifications will stay the same as that of the ordinary Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 5 active may feature the previously rumored battery with a massive amount of juice amounting to 4100mAh. Reports also said that the tougher version of the phablet flagship may come with IP68 waterproofing certification.

For starters, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 runs under a 64-bit 3.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, and sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with stunning 2560 x 1440 Quad HD resolution. It packs a massive 4GB worth of LPDDR4 RAM, along either 16GB or 32GB worth of built-in internal memory. Just like other recent releases from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 5 does not have support for an external microSD expansion.

As for the camera, a 16 megapixels rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixels front snapper for selfies and video calling is available. Both cameras have an f/1.9 aperture. It boots on Android Lollipop 5.1.1, and powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery, with Fast Charging and Fast Wireless Charging feature. It comes with the trademark S Pen, now improved and even more accessible with its new spring activated feature.
