The line of new Samsung Galaxy A smartphones just got its new members in the Indian market, as the South Korean tech giant just made the Galaxy A5 2016 and the Galaxy A7 2016 official in the country and is set to start selling in roughly a week.
According to a report by GSM Arena, Samsung recently made two devices from the new line of Galaxy A series of smartphones official for the Indian marketthe Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 and the Galaxy A7 2016. Both devices were recently first launched for sale in the Chinese market.
When it becomes available in India, the new Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 will be available for a price of RS 29,400, or at a price equivalent of about $433. On the other hand, the Galaxy A7 2016 will be available for a price of RS 33,400, or roughly around $92 in current exchange rates. Both devices will be available for purchase in the country starting on Feb. 15.
To recall the specs, the new Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p Full HD resolution. The device has an octa-core processor with CPU speed clocking in at 1.6 GHz frequency under its hood and packs 2GB worth of RAM coupled with 16GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity. It supports external microSD expansion of up to 128GB.
The camera of the galaxy A5 2016 comes at 13 megapixels for the main rear snapper, with an Optical Image Stabilization sensor and 5 megapixels for front facing one. The device is powered by a 2,900mAh battery with Fast Charging capabilities.
The Galaxy A7 2016, on the other hand, also sports the same display resolutionbutn a bigger size of 5.5 inches and runs under the same processor. The RAM is bigger at 3GB, and the battery capacity packs more juice at 3,300 mAh with Fast Charging features.
Both devices come with a fingerprint scanner.
