Rookie's Blue season 6 update: US premiere arrives June 25; Season 7 still not confirmed

American viewers of ABC’s hit show “Rookie Blue” will be able to watch new episodes of the show next week.

According to the Latin Post, the show will premiere its sixth season in the United States on June 25.

The show already premiered in Canada last May 21.

Fans of the show will witness a “pressure cooker” situation in the show, as Andy McNally makes several shocking discoveries regarding both Sam Swarek and Juliette Ward, the Latin Post said.

In Season 6, Master Herald said, Andy will discover that Sam had gotten Marlo Cruz pregnant while they were in a relationship.

Andy will also discover what is described by the Latin Post as “the biggest lie,” which prompts her to tell Juliette to stop dating Nick Collins, said the Latin Post.

At the same time, a prison riot will erupt and force Juliette and Andy to work together.

While it is well on its third episode in Canada, Rookie Blue’s fans are still anticipating an announcement regarding the seventh season of the show.

According to Master Herald, there are already speculations that Season 6 may be the show’s last season.

The publication revealed that ABC is still discussing what to do with Rookie’s Blue. While there has been no progress yet on the negotiations, Shaw Media’s senior vice president Christon Shipton said that she and her team are working hard for a renewal of the show.

Shipton expressed her hope that ABC will take Rookie’s Blue to Season 7, as there have been only few Canadian shows that have made it to a seventh season.

“I would be so proud if we could take a hit Canadian show to seven seasons. It’s a pretty small list of shows that reached that seven season mark. So it’s not official but we’re working on it,” she told the Venture Capital Post.
