'Rick and Morty' season 3 release date, spoilers: Animated series to air before 2016 ends? Mrs. Sanchez and Mr. Meeseeks rumored to appear

Rumors have it that Mrs. Sanchez may possibly appear in the highly anticipated season 3 of Adult Swim’s hit animated series “Rick and Morty.”

It can be recalled that the titular genius Rick Sanchez was locked up in an intergalactic prison cell by the end of season 2. On the other hand, Morty and his family went back to Earth where alien creatures ran the government instead of humans.

According to reports, since the whereabouts of Mrs. Sanchez remains a mystery, one of the episodes of the new run could highlight what happened to the character. Some viewers are said to be hoping to find out if she is still alive and why she has not appeared in any of the alternate universes yet.

Some believe that she will be with Rick during his troubles, presumably adding to a more dramatic narrative. Moreover, Mr. Meeseeks who was last seen in the freshman run could also return down the line. However, it remains to be seen if it comes to fruition.

On a related note, fans took it upon themselves to reanimate the two videos revealed by the creators in this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. In one of the clips featured during the event, Rick gets turned into a pickle. Meanwhile, another footage that was presented is an 11-minute dramatic reading of a court transcript with Morty as the judge and Rick as the defendant.

Co-creator Justin Roiland voiced both characters as the scenes are depicted in black and white sketches. iDigitalTimes shares that dedicated fans released a fully colored version of the second video and even added an after-credits sequence. Interestingly, it also gives a nod to “Futurama” with the cameo of Grand Midwife of Amphibios 9 and a brain slug from Spleef Nebula.

Season 3 of “Rick and Morty” is predicted to premiere sometime before the year ends. Since there is no confirmation yet from the production team, available information should be taken with a grain of salt.
