'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' to start filming soon in South Africa

The fight lives on, as the sixth andsupposedlyfinal film of the Resident Evil franchise has started production, with filming set to begin very soon.

The sixth installment of the undead-fighting series of films is entitled Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Actress Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice, and the film will once again be directed by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson.

Several days ago, the actress posted a new update on her Instagram account, showing the first ever behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming movie, as the production crew got to work on putting a cast on her face. The actress also revealed that she is set to fly to South Africa, where filming of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is set to take place very soon.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was originally planned to be released earlier but when the actress and her husband discovered that they were expecting a new baby, the couple decided to postpone the project until after Milla’s pregnancy.

In her Facebook post last year, she said: “After a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie. Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! We want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition,” she added.

The previous film in the series, Resident Evil: Retribution, had a total worldwide box office gross of $240,159,255, making it the second highest grossing film in the entire Resident Evilfranchise.
