'Resident Evil 7' release date, news: Final demo now available; Sony promises that the game is scary

Sony announced during PSX 2016 that the third and final demo for the “Resident Evil 7” game is available for download. This final demo can also be played in the PS VR, which certainly gives more hype to the game.

According to Game Rant, the fans have been forcing themselves through the Beginning Hour demo as well as the Twilight version update, as they have been trying to solve all the game’s mysteries. Right now, answers are pretty scarce for it, but it could be possible that the third and final demo for the “Resident Evil 7” to provide the answers they need.

After all, according to Capcom, the update should be huge, so fans are expecting that the demo will solve all the mysteries that remain so far and eventually give the demos the much-needed closure. The past two demos pretty much had the same ending, with Jack Baker punching the protagonist’s lights out, telling him “Welcome to the family, son!” before he blacks out.

It is worth noting that no matter what players do, the ending will be the same. Regardless, if the new demo is unable to satisfy their curiosity about what is going on, they still expect that it should at least give them a better idea of what to expect from the game. It is expected for the game to show off some of its mechanics in this demo in a way that has never been seen from the previous two.

Game Spot adds that the new demo will be really scary, as attested by Sony itself during the PSX 2016. Additionally, for the main game, “Resident Evil 7” will also receive a DLC pack called “Banned Footage,” which will come out first on the PS4.

“Resident Evil 7” will be released on Jan. 24, 2017 for the PC, PS4, PSVR, and Xbox One.
