New gameplay videos for the much-awaited zombie-themed first-person shooter game “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” feature the use of green herb for treating wounds and a creepy teaser of a character who refuses to die.

The clip titled “Survival” reveals that the protagonist’s smartwatch will function as an identifier of health status. Meanwhile, instead of the usual application of the familiar medicinal item, it appears that players no longer make use of sprays but pour a bottle of the healing tonic over the wound instead. The description of the footage reads, “Green herbs become even more potent with a new ingredient.”

Meanwhile, another one teaser dubbed “Immortal” features Jack Baker who can’t seem to die despite being shot multiple times. VG247 notes that he is reminiscent of Nemesis from the classic “Resident Evil 3.” It can be recalled that the said big bad goes down for a while after sustaining attacks but it always finds a way to survive and create more havoc.

Earlier this month, the two trailers were also unveiled. Vol. 1 titled “Mysterious Caller” showed the character receiving a phone call inside the decrepit mansion warning him, “You shouldn’t have come here.” Some suggest that it may be hinting at the possible return of a character from previous iterations. Meanwhile, vol. 2 showed off the use of a shotgun.

These were followed by two more volumes. Vol. 3 highlights how to save one’s progress using the recorder. “Take the time to save in #RE7… You never know what will be lurking in the shadows,” the description states.

Finally, vol. 4 reveals the different uses of a knife such as breaking fragile boxes and slashing off hidden compartments.

“Resident Evil 7” is slated to be released across platforms including PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 24, 2017. It will also have a support for native 4K on the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro. A Deluxe Edition will be available for the price of $89.99 which includes the Season Pass and extra story chapters.
