Season 3 of “Reign” concluded its first half with a promise that it will return three months after in April.
In a recent Twitter post by the writers of the show, they revealed that the writing portion of “Reign” season 3 is done. They said, “That’s a wrap on writing #ReignSeason3! What an amazing season. We can’t wait for you to see the rest!”
Fans expressed on the same post their excitement and support, as they also look forward to the rest of the story in the season. Some of the fans took the chance to ask for season 4, but the writers did not answer yet, as it will most likely depend on the network and the pick-up of the show once it premieres for the second half.
At the moment, no elaborate details have been revealed regarding the midseason premiere episode, except for its title, “Succession.”
Nonetheless, actress Megan Follows, who plays the role of Catherine de’ Medici in the show and did a stint on directing the midseason finale, said in an interview with TV Line last month that there are “so many stories to tell.”
It is still unclear whether she was referring to the rest of the season 3 or possibly a season 4 as she was telling this in the context of the tragic death of the character Francis (Toby Regbo).
She said, “Toby was an amazing player, and we were all really sad, although it was time for the story he knew that. What’s fantastic about our show is that we’ve really embraced change and grown; there are so many stories to tell.”
From a Friday timeslot, the show will be moved to Monday night, starting April 25, replacing “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” The show will air at 8 P.M. ET on The CW.
