The third season of The CW’s historical drama series “Reign” has finally completed its production. The update was confirmed by its actor, Torrance Coombs, who plays Bash, through his Twitter account. He tweeted, “That’s a wrap on season 3 of #Reign. Amazing way to finish off, with a Canadian-Irish hybrid crew of the loveliest people” on March 3.
On March 9, the Hollywood Reporter reported that Coombs will leave “Reign” to join ABC’s “Still Star-Crossed.” The report added that Coombs will play the role of Count Paris, The Count of Mantua who is engaged to marry Juliet. The actor did not confirm this report.
However, on March 10 Coombs tweeted, “Thank you for all the kind words. Tough to comment on specifics, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Bash on #Reign.” His most recent tweet tease that there’s more to look forward to on his role in the remaining episodes.
In the previous season of “Reign,” Bash had an arranged marriage with one of Mary’s lady-in-waiting, Kenna (Caitlyn Stacey). Although their marriage did not begin from a real relationship, it eventually evolved throughout the season. However, marital problems came up and the couple could no longer keep their marriage.
The third season focused mainly on Mary (Adelaide Kane) trying to save herself and her people from Queen Elizabeth’s possession.
Watch out for the next episode of “Reign” when it returns on Monday, April 25 at 8 P.M. on The CW. It will replace the timeslot of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” which will complete its finale by then.
