'Red Dead Redemption' news: Game available for the Xbox One via backward compatibility

While waiting for “Red Dead Redemption 2,” fans can revisit the world of the predecessor, “Red Dead Redemption.” The game is now available on the Xbox One thanks to the Backward Compatibility feature of the console. Fans are wondering if it is worth playing once again in a much more advanced console.

According to reports, there was a comparison done in terms of graphics and gameplay of the video game. The comparison was done by Digital Foundry, testing it on two consoles which are Xbox One and Xbox 360. It turns out that the Rockstar Games title gives players a more seamless gameplay on the Xbox One.

Although it has been said that there really isn’t any drastic changes in the Xbox One version of the game, the characters in the video game are able to have a more fluid movements than in the Xbox 360 version. The reason for this is due to the higher frame rate that the Xbox One offers, which is 30 frames per second (fps). Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 can only handle about 20 fps.

Additionally, there are also some other improvements to “Red Dead Redemption” even though they are minor. It is said that in the original Xbox 360 version, there was also some screen tearing present.

“Red Dead Redemption” is considered as a hit and is very popular among the gaming community. The game also had a great reception when it was first released. Although a lot of fans are waiting for the upcoming sequel of the franchise, it seems that the release date of the game is still quite far away. Fans expected an announcement during last month’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), but unfortunately, no official announcements regarding the sequel were made.

“Red Dead Redemption” is now available in to play on the Xbox One.
