Red Dead Redemption 2″ will take cues from the heart-wrenching emotional storyline originally depicted in John Marston’s epic saga. The game developer intended the upcoming video game to invoke substantial emotional elements into the game, in order for gamers to empathize deeply with the characters so that player participation will consistently be promoted.
Take TwoCEO Strauss Zelnick felt that there is a need for “incredible emotional depth” in “Red Dead Redemption 2.” At an MKM Partners event, he elaborated his statement by further saying that the sequel will experience a massive undertaking when compared to its popular original version.
The massiveness that Zelnick is referring to is the substantial emotional feel of the game itself being alluded to the player. The new “Red Dead Redemption 2” can support both a “GTA Online”-style online component and a single-player one.
“We took a different point of view (with “Red Dead Redemption”) which is that very occasionally westerns capture the imagination of the public. When we launched Red Dead, it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again. And that’s not meant to be cute,” Zelnick said during the same MKM Partners event, as reported by Gaming Respawn.
Take Two has not revealed too much about “Red Dead Redemption 2” despite that the video game having already delivered a rather impressive teaser that drove big opening pre-orders. The trailer for “Red Dead Redemption 2” was first shown almost a month ago and has been viewed more than eight million times on YouTube.
Rumors spread like fire as teasers for the western sequel will likewise feature seamless and dynamic drop-in co-op action-filled drama similar to another video game called “Watch Dogs 2.” The teasers exaggerated the rumors that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will be a huge money-maker.
