“Red Dead Redemption 2” is probably one of the most talked-about upcoming releases in the last few years. A lot of rumors have been spreading with regard to its plot and release date but the game’s publisher, Rockstar Games, has been so reserved about providing any statement in connection to the video game.

According to a report from Parent Herald, the next installment in the “Red Dead” franchise might be announced by its publisher at the upcoming event in June, the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, which is one of the events that features the big names of the gaming world.

A report by MCVUK stated that Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has already confirmed their presence at the event.

“Will be there in a big way,” Zelnick said.

Take-Two Interactive is the mother company of Rockstar Games.

Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games might be planning to surprise everyone at the event with their a big announcement. Many fans believe that part of this big announcement at the E3 will be the unveiling of “Red Dead Redemption 2”.

The next part of the series has long been overdue. The first installment was released in 2010 and many supporters think that it should have been followed right away with its next episode.

Nevertheless, the rumored announcement will certainly give fans something to hope for. It was confirmed by Zelnick in 2014 that “Red Dead Redemption” is one of the company’s mainstays.

“I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It’s obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise,” he said, as quoted by GameSpot

That statement has given fans reasons to believe that “Read Dead Redemption 2” is definitely happening.

The question fans are asking is, will the unveiling be finally done at E3? Or will the new rumor be just like any other speculation from the past that faded in the dark?
