Real Housewives of New York season 8 news: Producers and socialite Lora Drasner in talks; Heather Thomson may leave show

Will Lora Drasner be the next cast member of The Real Housewives of New York?

According to a report by New York Daily News, the producers of the show are keen to sign up the socialite to be a regular part of the reality show.

“She’s been offered a slot multiple times and is speaking with producers, but she is doing her due diligence. She is asking a million questions and asking current cast members out to lunch and shopping trips to try to feel them out,” an insider source was quoted as saying. The source added that while Drasner is reportedly interested, she is unsure of what it entails.

Lora is the beautiful 50 year old socialite who is married to New York Daily News’ former co-owner Fred Drasner. She is known for being an avid traveler. She has played piano for an audience at the Carnegie Hall as a gift from her husband after she completed a year and half’s worth of piano lessons.

She has also showcased an art exhibit of her sunset photos taken in different parts of the world like Australia, Tahiti, New York, Fiji, Greece and Hong Kong. The beautiful images are also showcased on her website.

It has been rumored that cast member Heather Thomson is quitting the show after Season 7 after the scene with the Random Naked Dude in the Turks and Caicos episode. In an interview with New York Live, the reality show star remained concommittal.

“We have so much to talk about on what’s happening on the show right now, we just shot the couch [reunion show]… I mean, who can even think about next season, let’s stick to this season,” she said.
