Qualcomm Technologies has recently announced their three latest processors, namely: the Snapdragon 625, the Snapdragon 435 and the Snapdragon 425. The latest set of processors is designed handle more computing, which can provide more to the consumer in terms of upgraded performance and longer battery life. The latter being the most common hurdle in mobile devices.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
Qualcomm boasts the power efficiency on one of its newest processors. The Snapdragon 625 is more efficient than the Snapdragon 617 by 35 percent.
“To put that in perspective, if your last smartphone got you only from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., your Snapdragon 625 device could last well past midnight,” the company stated.
The Snapdragon 625 processor is based on the latest 14 nm technology, which known to be less power-hungry. It can now support 24 MP cameras and 13 MP selfies. Inside, it houses the highly capable 2.0+ Ghz octa-core CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. Integrated within is the X9 LTE that can boost connectivity as well.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 435
The Snapdragon 435 is an upgrade of the Snapdragon 430 that was released last year. Both processors are highly capable in processing 21 MP images in 1080 pixel resolution screens. These chips will not complain much when it comes to gaming, the 1.4 Ghz octa-core CPU and the Andreno 505 GPU can handle them perfectly fine. However, the Snapdragon 435 is loaded with a much modern way of communication, an X8 LTE, that can support up to Cat 6 speeds.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 425
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 offers great improvements over the mobile devices that house the Snapdragon 410 and 412. Designed for mid-tier devices, the new processor is highly cable of handling 16 MP cameras, and can now support X6 LTE.
The 425 can handle up to 1.4 Ghz quad-core speed by the Cortex A53 and an Adreno 308 GPU. It can also support wireless charging with its Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and NFC
Qualcomm is expecting to provide these three new processors to phones that will be released by the second part of 2016.
