'Project X Zone 2: Brave New World' Japan release for 3DS is November 12


The sequel to the hit fighting game Project X Zone is finally set to hit the 3DS handheld once more, on November 12. The sequel is entitled Project X Zone 2: Brave New World.

According to a report by Crunchyroll, the release date was revealed by Famitsu, a popular Japanese gaming magazine. The game will be officially released on November 12 on both their standard and limited edition variants. The standard edition will be available for 6,640, while the limited edition will be available for 9,980.

The limited edition variant of Project X Zone 2: Brave New World which includes the following features: the ability to play the game while listening to over 60 music tracks from the original Project X Zone; the Valkyrie no Boken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu to Xiaomu (Adventure of Valkyrie: Legend of the Key of Time with Xiamou), which opens the character Xiaomu as another playable fighter on the roster; a Namco X Capcom 10th Anniversary Resource 3D pack illustrated by Takuji Kawano; and Namco X Capcom 10th Anniversary Resource special Nintendo 3DS theme.

Players who will grab a copy of the game on its release date or its early days will be receiving The Girl From 10 Years Ago challenge map, with the item called “Black Hot Pants” as a completion reward.

The Famitsu reveal also included a new gameplay feature called “Mirage Cancel” where players can press the B button during a normal attack. Doing that suspends the said attack and the game enters a temporary state of slow motion, giving players a chance for a good aim at a critical hit afterwards.

The Project X Zone is a crossover between three of Japan’s biggest game companiesBandai Namco Games, Capcom, and Sega. It combines characters form various popular titles from said game companies like Tekken, Street Fighter, .hack//, Virtua Fighter, Mega Man, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and many more.
