“Prison Break” is back for one more season, and fans now know that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is alive after all thanks to the official trailer. Everybody (the viewers included) thought he died while they were breaking Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) out of prison. He may be alive, but it looks like he’s in prison again, and he is in Yemen. Apparently, Michael has been working for an ISIS-like terrorist group, so that would explain why he is in jail.
Well, this show is called “Prison Break” after all, so somebody has to be in prison. This time, it’s Lincoln Burrows’ (Dominic Purcell) turn to devise a plan to break his brother out of prison.
Apparently, Lincoln is going to get into trouble. Based on the storyboards of a car chase in the premiere episode, two villains, Van Gogh (Steve Mouzakis) and A&W (Marina Benedict), are going to run him off the road and Lincoln is seen crashing out of the window of his car.
There are rumors saying Lincoln will die to save his brother because the show’s writers allegedly teased that a scene in episode 8 is going to make them weep. Well, that’s a possibility. Or they are just weeping because they have finally freed Michael.
Meanwhile, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt since details for the upcoming season have yet to be revealed. Right now, all plot details are rumors and speculations at best.
“Prison Break” season 5 will hit the small screen in early 2017 as part of FOX’s midseason schedule. The show will air on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. Reports say Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell (Robert Knepper), Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), Benjamin Miles “C-Note” Franklin (Rockmond Dunbar), and Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein) are also returning, so fans of the show will see a lot of familiar faces when it airs.
