Show creator Marlene King revealed that “Pretty Little Liars'” season 7 opening scene will be in the middle of the forest outside of Rosewood.
The 52-year-old writer and producer took it to her official Twitter account to share the tidbit by posting, “Episode 701 of #PrettyLittleLiars FADE IN: The quiet calm of a moonlit night, in the forest outside of Rosewood.”
Season 6 ended in an exciting note with revelations left and right including the re-introduction of Andrea Parker as Mary Drake, Mrs. DiLaurentis’s twin sister and her plans to take down Alison (Sasha Pieterse). Aside from the big reveal, a shocker with an unconscious Hannah (Ashley Benson) being dragged on the floor has also piqued numerous speculations from fans of the show.
Entertainment Tonight caught up with Benson as she was promoting Buxom Cosmetics in Los Angeles, and she was asked about what she can share about the future of Hannah.
“Let’s hope that Hanna’s okay!” the actress spilled.”That’s all I can say. Let’s hope that she’s alive and doing well. It’s questionable at this point.”
In the last six seasons of the hit Freeform show, death has not been unusual but the 26-year-old actress divulged that with the recent time jump in the show, stakes had been elevated which made character deaths more impactful.
“We start in a couple weeks actually and I have no idea what’s going to be next. I’m really curious to see what happens, I don’t know what’s going on with Hanna,” Benson continued.
While the actress was coy in giving out details on what would be her character’s fate come season 7, she was straightforward in one thing and that is her hoping that Hannah and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) can somehow end up being together again.
Like her cast mate Lucy Hale who has been openly campaigning for her character, Aria, to be back with ex, Ezra (Ian Harding), Benson is also rooting for a reconciliation between her character and her on and off again boyfriend.
“Let’s just put me away with Caleb, so then we have no choice but to be back together,” she jokingly said. “Just locked in the room the whole season and he’s the only one I see and then we get married.”
With King’s revelation that season 7 will be the most romantic out of all the seven seasons of the show, Benson’s wish may actually see some fruition.
As of now, there is no official release date yet on when “Pretty Little Liars” season 7 will be back on air, but it is expected to resume this summer.
